  BRAN­SON — Timmy Townsend no-hit Forsyth and went 4-for-4 in Branson’s 17–0 win on Thurs­day.
  The Pirates improved to 18–4.
Neosho downs Mt. Ver­non
  Anthony Hen­drix, AJ Enloe and Jared Brown all had two hits to power Neosho past Mt. Ver­non 13–6.
  Scott Pogue was the win­ning pitcher.

  SPRING­FIELD — Branson’s Timmy Townsend had four RBIs to power the Pirates past Spring­field Hill­crest 12–6 on Mon­day.
  Tee Helsel had three hits and Hay­den Thull two for the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion champs.
  Bran­son plated nine runs in the sec­ond inning while improv­ing to 16–4.

  BRAN­SON — Tee Helsel and Tay­lor Tanker­sly both home­red in Branson’s 17–6, five-inning rout of Carthage on Wednes­day.
  Timmy Townsend was 4-for-5 and Mike Comp­ton 3-for-3.
   Brian Pos­ton was 3-for-3 for Carthage.

Wolves claim first win

  FORSYTH — Reeds Spring ripped Spokane 13–4 on Wednes­day.
  The Wolves received two hits apiece from Lucas McDan­nold, Johnny Davis, Riker Dou­glas, Chris Jones, Kyle Fleck, Josh Cherry. McDan­nold had three RBIs and two stolen bases. Dou­glas and Cherry both had two RBIs.
  Jones was the win­ning pitcher, strik­ing out 11 in six innings.

Reeds Spring improves to 3–1

  CLEVER — Reeds Spring’s base­ball team took third place at the Right Off Bat Tour­na­ment by edg­ing Mount Ver­non 9–6 on Sat­ur­day.
  Wes DeWilde deliv­ered a two-out, two-run triple in the fourth inning to cap his four-RBI performance. Riker Dou­glas and Eddie Blan­chard both rapped out three hits.
  Win­ning pitcher Johnny Davis struck out eight..
  The Wolves (3−1) downed Mar­i­onville 18–8 on Friday. DeWilde, Blan­chard and Chris Jones all had three hits and two RBIs. Johnathan Knit­tle was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Kyle Fleck home­red.  Dil­lion Dean notched his first var­sity win.

  The Pirates improved to 5–0.

Reeds Spring improves to 3–1

  BOLI­VAR — Timmy Townsend struck out 10 to power Branson’s base­ball team to an 8–4 tri­umph over Boli­var on Mon­day.
  Townsend blanked the Lib­er­a­tors over the final six innings. Hay­den Thull had a two-run sin­gle and Tee Helsel was 2-for-4 for the Pirates. Bolivar’s Tyler Welch was also 2–4.
  Bran­son improved to 6–1.

Rogersville beats Buf­falo
  In a Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Small Schools Divi­sion game, Rogersville downed Buf­falo 15–3.

  REEDS SPRING — Chase Shields and Parker O’Dell home­red to sup­port Mike Compton’s one-hitter as Branson’s base­ball team downed ripped Reeds Spring 10–1 on Thurs­day.
  Compton’s only mis­cue was a solo homer by Wolves catcher Eddie Blan­chard. Comp­ton struck out 10.
  Shields, Timmy Townsend and Tee Helsel all had two hits.

Nixa falls in Red & Blue finale (Base­ball roundup)

  SPRING­FIELD — Nixa’s base­ball team lost 5–2 to Green­wood (Ark.) in the Blue Divi­sion cham­pi­onship game at the Red & Blue Tour­na­ment on Sat­ur­day.
  The Eagles fell to 7–2. Green­wood, ranked No. 1 in Class AAAAA in Arkansas, is 17–0.
  Nixa totaled 36 runs in pool play wins over Moun­tain Home, Spring­field Hill­crest and Neosho. Sopho­more Dean Deetz pitched a no-hitter in his first var­sity start while beat­ing Hillcrest. 

Pirates whip Odessa
  At Bran­son on Fri­day, the Pirates clob­bered Odessa 12–7.
  Mike Comp­ton banged out three dou­bles and a triple and Tee Helsel had three hits for the Pirates.

  NEOSHO — Paul Stevens went 2-for-2 and had three RBIs in Branson’s 10–5 Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion win over Neosho on Tues­day.
  The Pirates’ Isaac John­son, Timmy Townsend and Tee Helsel also all had two hits.
  Townsend was the win­ning pitcher.
  Neosho’s Blake Henry home­red while going 2-for-3. Jacob Rick­man was also 2-for-3.

  NEOSHO — Jacob Barns drove in Jacob Rick­man on a walk-off RBI-single to lift Neosho’s base­ball team to a 4–3 Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion win over Carthage on Thurs­day.
  The Wild­cats also had a walk-off COC win ear­lier this sea­son over Willard.
Pirates down Repub­lic

  Mike Comp­ton threw a four-hitter while strik­ing out wight and Timmy Townsend hit a three-run homer in Branson’s 5–2 win over Repub­lic.
  Tyler King home­red for the Tigers.Branson is 10–3 over­all and 2–0 in the COC Large Schools Divi­sion.
Reeds Spring beats Catholic
  Johnny Davis fired a two-hitter in Reeds Spring’s 11–1 Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Small Schools Divi­sion tri­umph over Spring­field Catholic.
  The Wolves’ Chris Jones and Wes DeWilde both went 3-for-3.
Marsh­field wins at Hol­lister
  Marsh­field out­lasted Hol­lis­ter 12–6 in a COC Small Schools Divi­sion contest.

Repub­lic edges Boli­var (Base­ball roundup)

  BOLI­VAR – Aug­gie Elivo had two hits and three RBIs to lead Repub­lic past Boli­var 7–6 on Mon­day.
  Bolivar’s Seth Hop­wood col­lected three hits and two RBIs and Bray­den Berg was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
  The Lib­er­a­tors (10−5) trailed 5–0, but cut Republic’s lead to one run by scor­ing three times in the sev­enth inning. They had two baserun­ners as Republic’s Tyler King closed the game by retir­ing the final bat­ter on a ground­out.
Pirates 3–0 in COC play
  At Bran­son on Mon­day, the Pirates cruised to a 12–2, six-inning win over Webb City in Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion action.
  Tee Helsel col­lected two home runs and six RBIs and Timmy Townsend had a three-run triple.
  Townsend was the win­ning pitcher, strik­ing out five and walk­ing no one while toss­ing a four-hitter.
  The Pirates are 11–3 over­all and 3–0 in con­fer­ence play.
Reeds Springs shuts out Hol­lis­ter
  At Hol­lis­ter on Mon­day, Reeds Spring’s Chris Jones fired a three-hitter in the Wolves’ 13–0, five-inning COC Small Schools Divi­sion win.
  Jones struck out five and walked one.
  Reeds Spring is 10–5 and Hol­lis­ter 1–9.

Neosho knocks off Repub­lic (Base­ball roundup)

  NEOSHO — Alex Wise rapped out three hits to lead Neosho past Repub­lic 6–4 in Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion action on Tues­day.
  The win keeps the Wild­cats one game behind Bran­son for first place in the con­fer­ence.  
  Tyler King suf­fered the loss while allow­ing two earned runs.
Bran­son ral­lies past Willard
  At Bran­son, the Pirates pounded out 14 hits to beat Willard 11–3.
  Willard led 2–0 after two innings.
  Timmy Townsend was 3-for-5, while Tee Helsel, Mike Comp­ton, Chase Shields and Joe Keller all had two hits.
  Comp­ton was the win­ning pitcher, strik­ing out seven in six innings.
  Devin Phillips had an RBI-double for Willard and Tyler Hamp­ton con­tributed an RBI-single.
  Bran­son is 14–4 over­all and 5–0 in the COC Large Schools Division.

Bran­son clinches con­fer­ence cham­pi­onship (Base­ball roundup)

  CARTHAGE — The com­bi­na­tion of Branson’s 23–12 win over Carthage and Neosho’s 4–3 set­back to Nixa on Thurs­day allowed the Pirates to cap­ture the Cen­tral Ozark Con­fer­ence Large Schools Divi­sion cham­pi­onship.
  Bran­son, 6–0 in con­fer­ence play, has at least a two-game lead on the rest of the con­fer­ence with only a home date against Ozark to play on Tues­day.
  Isaac John­ston was 4-for-5 and home­red for the Pirates. Brian Pos­ton home­red for Carthage.
  Nixa ral­lied to beat Neosho by scor­ing two runs in the sev­enth inning.
